At church the other day, the speaker dished us a really interesting food for thought.
He reminded us that we have now come to live in a society where when something is broken, it’s cheaper to buy a new one than to get the old one fixed. I marinated on that.

It’s inspiring to see someone follow the dreams and convictions on her heart and to just go with faith that God will provide everything she needs. And it serves as a challenge for all of us: when was your last God adventure? What do you need to give up for Him to give you what you’ve always wanted?
Janice will be updating us from time to time from Hong Kong, but in the meantime, let’s pray for her that “the journey and the destination will be just as amazing.”

One of our voices, Janice, got a chance to interview Lisa Ling for her new show “Our America” on Oprah Winfrey’s new channel, OWN. Lisa has had a prolific career for her young life, traveling far and wide, from the midst of the woods of florida in a sex offender colony to undercover in North Korea (she went before her sister, Laura). Her quest to tell stories also led to searching for something else…faith. In her new series, Ling delves deep into faith. Here’s a short clip of her explanation.
